Lee Allred's short fiction has appeared in Asimov's SF as well as dozens and dozens of anthologies and various other fiction venues. He's also scripted for DC (Batman '66), Marvel (Fantastic Four), IDW (Dick Tracy), and Image Comics (Madman Atomic Comics).

 Red Carnation — While not the first story of my Stakeholder vampire
series to be published, it was the first one I wrote. Fans of the
series might note where I made a few tweaks and changes in the
character and worldbuilding in follow-up stories.

Down to the Last — I’m not sure what possessed me to write a straight-up Western tale for a speculative fiction magazine, but I had a lot of fun trying something completely new for me.

 Jesting Pilate — My mashup tribute to Solomon Kane and Cyrano de Bergerac. The story includes my off-kilter take on the Francis Bacon Shaksepeare theory. 

New England’s God — “National Treasure meets
H.P. Lovecraft.”  This Revolutionary War story won review site TagentOnline’s highest annual list recommendation.
